Urban Decay has recently released a new lipstick line, the Revolution Lipsticks, which claims to be long-lasting, very pigmented, hydrating and creamy. I've seen some good reviews on this formula so I decided to give it a try. I'm on a permanent mission to find the perfect my lips but better shade, so I was mostly checking the neutrals. The stronger, red shades look amazing, but I already have way too many bold shades in my collection. So I was going back and forth between Naked and Fiend (Naked is more of a brownish pink, while Fiend is more rosy). Eventually I ordered Naked and I've been loving it ever since I received it.
The packaging is nice, it comes in a silver compact. The one thing I don't like about it is how light it is. You would expect the compact to be metallic but it's plastic. But maybe I'm just becoming too picky about packaging, since I had the same problem with the Riri <3 MAC compact, it's so pretty to look at, but from upclose and personal it feels kind of cheap. However, this does not change the great quality of the product!
UD Revolution Lipstick in Naked
The lipstick has a pigment infusion system, which is supposed to provide the long lasting pigmentation while other ingredients (such as jojoba oil, avocado oil, shea butter and cocoa butter) keep your lips nourished too. It's nice and creamy but not the kind of creamy which will bleed on your lips. The color Naked is really pretty, it turns slightly pinkish on my lips, but still very natural looking. I believe this shade with work for all undertones, it's so universally pretty that you can't go wrong with it. I've had mine for over a month now and it became one of my favorites. I've used it on my lips for this make-up look.
